At the end of the road, among the oldest buildings, there is a little church, now deconsecrated, which was once dedicated to the Madonna della Tosse. This is where Lena Papadaki has her own studio. There is a strange atmosphere, otherwise unique, between these walls, where the gestures of men and the result of their intentions, both new and antique, are combined. Firm and precise, the hand follows the profile of a figure that slowly emerges. The artist’s devotion stands in the shape that she obtains in the end.
The material, asleep, will start singing again after passing through the fire.
